The cookies we set

lw — keeps you signed in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Session cookie: deleted when you close your browser. Essential — the app can’t work without it.

lw_jazyk — remembers whether you last chose English or Czech. Lasts 1 year. Not essential, but skipping it would mean picking your language on every visit.

Both are set directly by lapsewatch.cz (first-party), marked Secure and HttpOnly, and are never sold or shared with advertisers.

Traffic statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit the site. It doesn’t use cookies or any other client-side storage, and doesn’t build a profile of individual visitors — that’s a deliberate design choice by Cloudflare.

Advertising

If we’re running Google Ads campaigns, we use Google’s tag (gtag.js) to measure how many people who click an ad go on to sign up — nothing more. It can set a cookie called _gcl_au (kept for up to 90 days) to connect that click to what happens afterwards on this site.

This cookie only gets set once you accept it in the banner. Declining doesn’t change anything you can do on the site — it only means we can’t measure whether an ad you clicked led anywhere.

When you pay

Subscribing to a paid plan takes you to a page hosted by Stripe (shown there as Link). From that point, Stripe’s own cookies and privacy policy apply — we don’t control or see them.

Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings at any time. Blocking lw means you can’t stay signed in; blocking lw_jazyk just means picking your language again on your next visit. You can change your mind about the Google Ads cookie any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
