Lapsewatch
For freelancers

Twenty client sites, one person to notice when any of them breaks

There’s no ops team behind you, no second pair of eyes on a client’s renewal date while you’re heads-down finishing a build. Lapsewatch checks every domain, certificate and DNS record you’re responsible for once a day, so the one thing you didn’t have time to remember doesn’t become the call you didn’t want to answer.

No signup. Real results in about four seconds.

Nothing to install No DNS changes required Never a client credential

You’re not going to remember forty renewal dates. You’re not supposed to.

Every client site adds its own registrar, its own card, its own renewal month — spread across projects you context-switch between all day. Nothing about that setup is designed to remind you when one of them is 12 days from expiring.

It doesn’t take a big agency for this to go wrong. A single missed renewal on a client’s domain is exactly as embarrassing when you’re the only name on the invoice — and exactly as expensive to the client relationship.

One habit, automated, instead of forty things to remember

Everything here is built so the checking happens without you having to think about it.

Every client site, one list

Add each domain once. From then on it’s checked daily, sorted by whatever needs attention soonest — not forty separate reminders you have to keep straight yourself.

The full alert ladder, not just a countdown

Domain expiry, certificate renewal failures, DNS drift and reachability — checked the way a monitoring specialist would, without you having to be one.

A free tier that’s actually usable

Five domains, for as long as you want, no card and no time limit — enough to cover your smallest clients before you decide it’s worth more.

Grows into agency features when you do

If you start sending renewal notices under your own brand instead of your own inbox, that’s a plan upgrade away — the checks underneath don’t change.

Start free, upgrade only when it matters

Free covers 5 domains for as long as you like. Studio, at 19 €/month, covers 25 domains with the full alert ladder, DNS drift and renewal-failure detection — enough for most solo client lists. If you later want alerts to go out under your own name instead of your own inbox, that’s what the Agency plan adds.

Questions freelancers ask before switching

Is the free plan actually usable, or is it a trial?

It’s real: 5 domains, checked daily, for as long as you want. No card on file, no countdown to a paywall.

I only have a handful of client sites — is this overkill?

Five domains is usually enough to cover exactly the sites you’d be most embarrassed to lose. Trying it costs nothing: the free check on the homepage needs no signup at all.

Can I send renewal alerts to my clients under my own name?

That’s an Agency-plan feature — the email carries your name and reply-to address, rewritten for a non-technical reader. On Free and Studio, alerts stay with you; you decide if and when to pass the news along yourself.

Do I need to log into my client’s registrar or hosting?

No, and we’d rather not. Every check reads public RDAP, DNS and TLS data — nothing that requires a password to anything your client owns.

Does it matter which registrar my clients use?

No — a mix of GoDaddy, Namecheap, a local registrar and whatever the client’s cousin set up years ago is normal for a freelancer’s client list, and Lapsewatch treats them identically. There’s no registrar integration to configure, because there isn’t one.
