Lapsewatch
For web agencies

One dashboard for every domain your clients forgot they own

Agencies don’t usually lose a client over a design decision. They lose one over a domain that expired on a card nobody remembers, a certificate that quietly stopped renewing, or an MX record that vanished last Tuesday. Lapsewatch checks every domain in your portfolio once a day and tells you before your client does.

No signup. Real results in about four seconds.

Nothing to install No DNS changes required Never a client credential

Ten missed renewals are a rounding error. One is a lost client.

A single client’s domain is easy to keep in your head. Forty of them, across a dozen registrars, on cards and calendars you don’t control, are not — and the one that lapses is never the one you were watching.

One agency lost a client over a single missed .io renewal during Black Friday weekend: six hours of downtime, and the client had moved to a competitor by Monday morning. The domain wasn’t even the agency’s fault — the client’s card had been cancelled in November. The client called the agency anyway, because the agency is “the one who does the website.”

Built around managing other people’s domains, not your own

Every feature here exists because a single-domain reminder doesn’t scale to a client portfolio.

One table, the whole portfolio

Every client domain in one view, sorted by whatever needs attention soonest — not one inbox alert per domain that you have to piece together yourself.

Alerts in your name

On the Agency plan, the same warning that reaches you can go out to your client under your studio’s name and reply-to address, rewritten in plain language — no serial numbers, no mention of Lapsewatch anywhere in the email.

Monthly reports to attach to an invoice

A branded page and downloadable PDF per client: how many checks ran, what came up, when the next renewal is due — proof of the work you’re already doing.

Never a client credential — Every check reads public DNS, registry and TLS data. No registrar login, no FTP password, no CMS account — for any client, ever.

Priced by domain, not by seat

Free watches 5 domains for as long as you like — enough to try it on one client before adding the rest. Most agencies land on Agency: 100 domains, alerts in your name, and monthly reports included. Bigger portfolios move to Scale — 400 domains, 10 team seats.

Questions agencies ask before switching

Do I need my client’s registrar login?

Never, for any client. Every check runs on public RDAP, DNS and TLS data — the same information anyone can look up. We don’t ask for a registrar account, an FTP password, or a CMS login, because we don’t want them.

Will my client know Lapsewatch exists?

Only if you turn alerts on for that domain — and even then, the email carries your studio’s name and reply-to address, with the text rewritten for a non-technical reader. Nothing in it mentions Lapsewatch. The default is off; you choose which domains and which event types reach a client.

What if I manage more than 100 domains?

The Scale plan covers up to 400 domains and 10 team members. Nothing is billed per seat — the price scales with the size of the portfolio you’re watching, not the number of people on your team.

Can more than one person on my team use it?

Yes — Agency includes 3 team members, Scale includes 10. Everyone sees the same portfolio and the same alert history.

Which registrars and hosts do you support?

All of them — we don’t integrate with any specific registrar or host, which is exactly why there’s nothing to break when a client switches one. Every check reads public RDAP, DNS and TLS data, the same way regardless of where a domain happens to live.
